Invertebrates

Invertebrates are animals that lack a backbone or spine. They make up most of the species on earth. Insects and arachnids form two of the largest groups of invertebrates. Examples of invertebrates include mosquitoes, ticks, flies, fleas, and lice which are all important disease vectors. Vector Control offers insect and arachnid identification services. District biologists conduct inspections of homes and properties and make recommendations to help mitigate invertebrate vector issues.
